We are an Edinburgh based duo SCOTTISH GABBER PUNK that merges the unrelenting energy of punk with the power of hardcore. Have you ever thought of taking the worst of 90’s dance pop, adding a splash of gabber and a healthy amount of unrelenting punk leftist agenda, served up and shoved down your throats in the guise of silly string, party canons and snow machine peckers? Well then SCOTTISH GABBER PUNK is the band for you! We are on a mission to challenge the status quo and boundaries of music, and live performance.
SCOTTISH GABBER PUNK now presents our latest EP ‘Scum Of The Colonies’ for your listening pleasure. Inspired by the music of our cultures, this EP is a demonstration of pride of heritage and sharing this with those who also spit in the face of colonialism. ‘Tory Scum’ incorporates Jamie’s Scottish heritage by combining ceilidh music with hard gabber beats. Whilst ‘Colonial Kleptomania’ takes the traditional Sufi music of Rumana’s Indian heritage and club classic Panjabi MC to create a cry for reparations to be made to those who have suffered under colonialism. This EP and the performance of these songs is unapologetic and will shove our queer leftist antics down the throats of anyone listening and watching.
